  • Social networking sites not so "social" for many of the world"s children, with Aussie kids hit hardest

    A new global study reveals that one in ten parents online (12%) around the world say their child has experienced cyber bullying, while one in four (26%) say they know a child in their community who has experienced same. For those Australian parents, almost 9 in 10 (87%) say the children experienced the harrassing behaviour on social networking sites like Facebook �C more than any other country surveyed.

  • Are the doldrums of winter impacting Australian customer satisfaction?

    This story started in early July 2011 as we were putting together a report for one of our clients looking at their June customer satisfaction results. We witnessed an unexplained drop in customer satisfaction and reached out to the broader Ipsos team to explore what might be causing this drop. Our exploration uncovered similar �unexplained� drops in customer satisfaction for other clients so we decided to do launch a proper investigation.   • Ipsos Australia welcomes new Director to the loyalty team

    Leading global market research agency Ipsos today announced the appointment of Julie Harris as Director in the Loyalty team in Sydney to strengthen its senior team and support business growth. Julie joins Ipsos from Inside Story in Sydney where she was Director of Client Consulting and looked after research projects for leading financial services and government clients. Just prior to Inside Story, Julie was with Allianz in Australia heading up their Customer Insights team and leading research spanning from customer satisfaction to ad & brand and new product development. Julie has a BSc (Psychology) from The University of Western Australia, an MBA from University of Canberra and is QPMR accredited.

  • Ipsos Integrates AsiaPac Under Lifeng Liu & David Richardson

    Ipsos has named a new management team in Asia Pacific, led by Lifeng Liu, the new CEO of Ipsos Asia Pacific and by David Richardson, who has been newly appointed to Managing Director of Asia Pacific. Liu and Richardson will lead the rapidly growing Ipsos businesses across the region including India, Southeast Asia, Australia, Japan, Korea and Greater China.

  • Australia confident about economy, yet worried about cost of living

    Three-quarters (74%) of Australians believe that our current economic situation is ‘very good’ or ‘somewhat good’ according to the December 2010 Ipsos-Eureka Social Research Institute’s Global Advisor study. At the same time, one-third of Australians (33%) believe that ‘inflation/cost of living’ is a top issue facing the nation, according to the December 2010 Ipsos-Eureka Issues Monitor.
