Representative Employee Database (RED) Benchmarking System

Comparing your results with the outside world is a critical stage in establishing a valid diagnosis and identifying your relative strengths and weaknesses, as well as the relative importance of the issues identified in the survey. It also provides a focus for improvement by showing what can be achieved. Extensive and high quality benchmark data both within Australia and globally enables us to contextualise your results against relevant and current benchmarks.

The Ipsos RED® benchmarking system offers you extensive and high quality benchmark data. RED® is an ongoing research program (conducted every 2 years) conducted since 1999 among representative samples of employees working in companies of 100 people or greater. The RED database is up-to-date and representative of the employee workforce in participating countries and globally (not just an amalgamation of client organisation survey data). Ipsos collects normative data for 140 questions that fall into a variety of themes such as Engagement, Leadership and Work-life balance.

The most recent RED benchmark survey was conducted early in 2007. Normative data is available in 26 countries globally (including Australia) and covers 20 industry sectors. The benchmarks available are many including industry sector norms in Australia and globally, private and public sector norms, total workforce norms and professional category norms.
