July 2008 – Report #128 – Mind & Mood
In 2007, Mind and Mood found Australians increasingly concerned about the drought, the water crisis, bad urban planning and climate change. There was a modest but significant re-engagement with political issues. Will these trends continue or will there be yet another return to disengagement? As always, Mind & Mood provides both an excellent snapshot of what Australians are thinking and feeling right now, as well as a useful insight into changing trends in the last twelve months.

This report will explore Australian attitudes to online content. Is online data exchange adding new meaning to words like “communications” and “connectedness”? How is online communication influencing consumer perception and use of traditional mass media? This report may cover the issues of online shopping and banking, advertising and marketing, information searching, safety, privacy, blogging, chatting, forums and e-mail.
December 2008 – Report #130 – Our Community
What do we mean by community? Is our concept of community tied to place and space? Or is it more contingent on other factors, such as age, lifestyle and personal interests? Do consumers have a strong desire to be part of a community, beyond family and friends? This report will look at consumer attitudes to community in all its forms – neighbourhoods, workplaces, communities formed around pastimes, places, spaces, interests, common traits, age and lifestyle.
